Privacy policy

Effective date: July 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how DialUpDuo LLC, an Arizona limited liability company based in Phoenix, Arizona ("DialUpDuo", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit www.dialupduo.com (the "Site"), make a purchase, create an account, submit a review, customize a product, or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the "Services"). "You" and "your" means you as the user of the Services, whether you are a customer, website visitor, or another individual whose information we have collected under this Privacy Policy.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Quick Summary

  • We collect the information needed to make and ship your orders, run your account, and publish reviews you choose to submit.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not run third party advertising pixels on the Site.
  • We use one analytics tool, Google Analytics, and it only runs if you allow analytics cookies in our cookie banner.
  • You can change your cookie choices at any time using the Cookie settings link in our footer, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal.
  • You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing contact@dialupduo.com.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy on the Site, update the effective date above, and take any other steps required by applicable law.

What Personal Information We Collect

The types of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with the Services.

Information You Give Us Directly

  • Contact details, including your name, shipping address, billing address, phone number, and email address.
  • Order information, including the products you purchase, payment confirmation, and delivery details. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments or other payment providers shown at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account information, if you create a customer account, managed through Shopify's customer account system.
  • Customization content. Some products let you personalize your order, for example by choosing colors, entering custom text, or uploading a photo (such as a photo of your door for a custom door print). We collect the choices, text, and files you submit so we can make your item. When you build a custom design, we may also generate a preview image of your design and attach it to your order so we both can see exactly what you ordered.
  • Reviews and other content you post, including star ratings, review text, your display name, and up to three photos per review if you choose to add them. Reviews are tied to your purchase so we can show a verified purchase badge.
  • Customer support messages, including anything you send through our contact page, chat, or email.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the Site we may automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the Services ("Usage Data") using cookies and similar technologies. Usage Data can include your IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, and how you move through the Site. Our analytics tools are described in the Cookies and Analytics section below, and they only run if you allow them.

Information We Get from Third Parties

  • Shopify Inc., which hosts our store, processes checkout, and operates customer accounts. Shopify processes your information as described in the Shopify Privacy Policy and the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
  • Payment processors, which collect payment information to process your payment and prevent fraud.
  • Shipping carriers, which provide delivery and tracking updates for your orders.

How We Use Your Personal Information

  • Making and delivering your orders. We use your information to process payments, produce your items (including custom and personalized items), arrange shipping, handle returns and exchanges, and send you order notifications. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • Running your account and reviews. We use your information to maintain your customer account, confirm that reviews come from real purchases, publish reviews you submit, and let you edit your own reviews.
  • Customer support. We use your information to answer questions, fix problems, and keep records of our conversations with you. This is in our legitimate interest in serving you well.
  • Improving the Services. With your consent where required, we use analytics to understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
  • Security and fraud prevention. We use your information to detect, investigate, and act on possible fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity. Please keep your account credentials safe and contact us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
  • Marketing. If you sign up for marketing emails or texts, we will use your contact details to send them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link or instructions in each message. We do not currently send marketing messages unless you have opted in.
  • Legal compliance. We use your information to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, and protect the rights of DialUpDuo, our customers, and others.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site. They fall into three groups:

  • Essential cookies keep the store working: your cart, checkout, login session, and your cookie choices themselves. These are always on because the store cannot function without them. They are set by Shopify and are described in Shopify's cookie policy.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how people use the Site. We use Google Analytics (traffic and conversion statistics). This tool loads only if you allow analytics in our cookie banner.
  • Marketing cookies would be used for advertising. We do not currently run any advertising pixels or marketing cookies. If that changes, they will appear in our cookie banner and Cookie Policy first, and they will stay off until you allow them.

You can accept, decline, or fine-tune these in the cookie banner when you first visit, and change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. For the full list of cookies and how long they last, see our Cookie Policy.

We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of any activity that could be considered a sale or sharing of personal information, or targeted advertising, for that browser and device. If we can associate the device with your Shopify account, we apply the opt out to the account as well. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org. Other than GPC, we do not respond to other Do Not Track signals.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients, and only for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Service providers who run the store for us: Shopify (store hosting, checkout, payments, customer accounts, file storage for review photos and custom design files), Cloudflare (the infrastructure that processes product customization and review submissions in transit), Google (analytics, only with your consent), shipping carriers such as USPS, and payment processors.
  • People you choose to share with. If you post a review, the review text, your display name, your rating, and any photos you attach are published on the Site and visible to anyone.
  • Legal and safety recipients, when required to comply with legal obligations, respond to subpoenas or similar requests, enforce our terms, or protect the Services, our rights, and the rights of our customers and others.
  • A successor business, in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

In the preceding 12 months we have disclosed these categories of personal information to service providers for the business purposes above: identifiers (such as name, email, address), commercial information (such as orders and customer support history), user content (such as reviews, photos, and customization files), and internet activity (such as Usage Data).

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. Some U.S. state laws define "sale", "sharing", or "targeted advertising" broadly enough to cover analytics cookies. Because of that, we treat your analytics cookie choice as an opt out right: you can decline analytics in the cookie banner, use the Cookie settings footer link, enable GPC, or use our Your Privacy Choices page. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.

User Generated Content

Reviews and review photos you submit are published publicly on the Site after moderation. Anyone can see them, so please do not include personal details you want to keep private, and avoid including other people in photos without their permission. You can edit your own reviews from your account, and you can ask us to take a review down at any time by contacting us.

Custom Design Files

Photos and files you upload for custom products, and the preview images generated from your design, are stored with your order so we can produce your item, handle reorders, and resolve any issues. We use them only to fulfill your order and support you. We will never use your uploaded photos in our marketing without your explicit permission.

Third Party Websites and Links

The Site may link to websites or platforms operated by third parties. If you follow those links, review their privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of third party sites, or for the accuracy or reliability of information on them. Inclusion of a link does not imply our endorsement.

Children's Privacy

The Services are a general audience website intended for adults. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at contact@dialupduo.com and we will delete it.

Security and Retention

We use commercially reasonable safeguards appropriate to the type of information we handle, including encryption in transit, access controls, and Shopify's PCI-compliant checkout. No security measure is perfect, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, and we recommend not sending sensitive information through insecure channels.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it:

Information How long we keep it
Order and transaction records Up to 7 years, to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements
Account information While your account is active, then deleted on request
Reviews and review photos While published; removed on your request
Custom design uploads and previews Kept with your order for support and reorders; deleted on request once no longer needed for an open order
Customer support messages Up to 3 years after the conversation ends
Analytics data Google Analytics up to 14 months
Cookie consent records Up to the period required by applicable law

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. They are not absolute and may apply only in certain circumstances, and in certain cases we may decline a request as permitted by law, but we will always tell you why.

  • Access / Know: request access to the personal information we hold about you, including how we use and share it.
  • Delete: request that we delete your personal information.
  • Correct: request that we fix inaccurate personal information.
  • Portability: receive a copy of your personal information in a usable format, and ask us to send it to a third party where feasible.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising: via the cookie banner, the Cookie settings footer link, the Your Privacy Choices page, or GPC.
  • Restrict or object to processing: ask us to stop or limit certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time.
  • Appeal: if we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will have someone else review it.
  • No discrimination: we will never penalize you for exercising your rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@dialupduo.com with the subject line "Privacy Request", or use the tools described above. We may need to verify your identity, usually by confirming control of the email on your account or order, before responding. You may use an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf; we will ask the agent for proof of authorization and may verify your identity directly. We respond within the time required by applicable law, generally within 45 days for U.S. state law requests and within one month for GDPR requests.

United States State Privacy Rights

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, the rights above apply to you as provided by your state's law.

California residents: the categories of personal information we collect are identified in the sections above and map to these CCPA categories: identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet or other electronic network activity; geolocation inferred from IP address; and audio or visual information (photos you upload). We collect them from you, your devices, and the third parties listed above, for the business purposes described above. We do not sell personal information for money. To the extent analytics cookies are considered "sharing", you may opt out using any of the methods above, including GPC, which we honor as a valid opt out signal. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom

We currently ship only within the United States, but if you access the Site from the EEA or UK, the GDPR or UK GDPR may apply. Our legal bases are: performance of a contract (orders, accounts), consent (analytics cookies, marketing), legitimate interests (support, security, improving the Services), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records). You have the rights listed above plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, or with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. When we transfer personal information out of the EEA or UK, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK equivalents, unless the destination has an adequacy decision.

Canada and Other Countries

If you access the Site from Canada, you have rights of access and correction under PIPEDA, and you may withdraw consent to optional processing at any time. Visitors from other countries have whatever rights local law provides, and we will honor valid requests. Your information is processed in the United States and by the service providers listed above, which may store data in other countries.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, email contact@dialupduo.com and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to appeal our decision or to complain to your local privacy regulator, depending on where you live.
